Front door bass speakers and seal

Preparations





Note! Carry out the operation on both sides.

- Remove the clips (1) by pressing in the centre of the clips
- Remove the cover (2) on the door handle. Use a weatherstrip tool. Start at the upper or lower edge
- Remove the two screws (3) from under the cover
- Remove the cover for the door mirror by pulling the cover straight out
- Disconnect the door panel by sliding the panel upwards and unhooking the top edge.




- Remove the three connectors (1) from the module for the door controls and from the existing loudspeaker
- Remove the wire (2) from the door opener (3). First bend up the catches
- Remove the panel
- Remove the panel (4) for the cable lead-in
- Drill out the rivets (5) on the existing loudspeakers. Use a -6 mm (1/4") drill bit
- Remove the loudspeakers and any rivet swarf from the rivet holes. Remove the rivet sections from the door if necessary.

Installing and finishing work




- Install the hook for the loudspeaker (1) in the oval hole in the upper edge of the speaker cut out
- Fold down the loudspeaker towards the loudspeaker cut out so that the locating pin (2) in the lower edge of the loudspeaker is inserted into the hole in the lower edge of the loudspeaker cut out.




- Screw the new loudspeaker into place using the screws (1) and the nuts (1) from the kit
- Reinstall the panel (2) for the cable lead-in
- Connect the connectors (3) to the loudspeaker and the module for the door controls
- Connect the cable (4) to the door opener (5)
- Reinstall the door panel (use a magnetic screwdriver). Reinstall the cover for the door mirror.
