Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition

Line pressure solenoid SLB1 controls the line pressure in the transmission. The solenoid is controlled by a power stage located on the output of the transmission control module (TCM). The control module uses the power stage to control the current to the solenoid. Low current gives high line pressure and high current (approximately 1 A) gives a low line pressure. The current strength is affected by the throttle position.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the transmission control module (TCM) registers an open circuit in the circuit for solenoid SLB1. Solenoid SLB1 cannot control the line pressure.
The diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) can be diagnosed during shifting when the line pressure solenoid SLB1 is activated.

Substitute value
- Auxiliary program Emergency mode 1 in the transmission control module (TCM) has started.

Hint: Emergency mode in case of malfunction Emergency Mode In Case of Malfunction

Possible source
- Contact resistance in the terminals
- Open circuit in lead for control signal or signal ground.
- Line pressure solenoid SLB1 does not work.
- The transmission control module (TCM) does not function.

Fault symptom[s]
- General warning lamp lit
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
- No lock-up function.
- Harsh gear changing
