Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information
Condition
The solenoids are controlled using the power stage in the transmission control module (TCM). The transmission control module (TCM) opens the power stage when the solenoids are to be activated so that the circuit receives a voltage.
If the transmission control module (TCM) registers that the measured current is higher than the circuit for the SLT solenoid allows, the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is generated.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.
Substitute value
- Auxiliary program Emergency mode 1 in the transmission control module (TCM) has started.
Hint: Emergency mode in case of malfunction Emergency Mode In Case of Malfunction
Possible source
- Control signal lead short-circuited to voltage.
- Linear pressure solenoid not working.
- Internal fault in transmission control module (TCM).
Fault symptom[s]
- General warning lamp lit
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
- Abnormally slipping gears.
- Harsh gear changing
- No gear changing.
