Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information
Condition
The transmission control module (TCM) continuously monitors the supply voltage and compares it with a voltage value sent out on the CAN network by the central electronic module (CEM).
If the transmission control module (TCM) registers a system voltage below 9.0V, the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) will be generated.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the engine is running.
Substitute value
- Auxiliary program Emergency mode 1 in the transmission control module (TCM) has started.
Hint: Emergency mode in case of malfunction Emergency Mode In Case of Malfunction
Possible source
- Battery voltage too low.
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connector on the transmission control model (TCM) or the gearbox.
- Internal fault in the transmission control module (TCM).
Fault symptom[s]
- Malfunction indicator light (MIL), on
- General warning lamp lit
