Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition




The gear selector module (GSM) is located under the top panel of the lever carrier. The gear selector module (GSM) communicates with the transmission control module (TCM) via an internal network, Local Interconnect Network (LIN), for activating the gear inhibitor function (shift lock).
If the gear selector module (GSM) registers that the solenoid power stage is active when it should be inactive, the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is generated.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

Substitute value
- Gear selector not blocked.

Possible source
- The signal cable is short-circuited to voltage.
- Solenoid not working.
- Internal fault in gear selector module (GSM).

Fault symptom[s]
- General warning lamp lit
- Gear selector can be moved when ignition off.
