Condition




Information on the vehicle configuration is sent on the vehicle's CAN network. The vehicle can be configured in different ways, depending on model and equipment, etc. The central electronic module (TM) sends the signal ID that applies to the vehicle. The transmission control module (TCM) compares this ID with the one stored internally in the software. If the two do not agree, it means that the software in the transmission control module (TCM) is not compatible with the other software in the vehicle and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) will be generated.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.
