Condition




Transmission control module (TCM) calculates the vehicle's speed using the signal from the transmission's speed sensor, output rpm. The calculated speed signal is compared with the speed signal that the Brake control module (BCM) transmits on the CAN network. Both signals should have approximately the same value.
If the calculated speed between the transmission's output rpm signal and the speed signal from Brake control module (BCM) differs, the diagnostic trouble code is generated.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when driving normally.
