Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition




The shift solenoids S1, S2 manage the gear changing in the gearbox together with the linear solenoids. The solenoids are controlled using the power stage in the transmission control module (TCM). The control unit activates the power stage when the solenoids are to be activated and the circuit receives power.
If Transmission Control Module (TCM) registers that the circuit for S1 or S2 receives a too low signal when the solenoid is activated, the diagnostic trouble code TCM-0003 or TCM-0009 is generated. Which diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored depends on which circuit is faulty.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

Substitute value
- Auxiliary program Emergency mode 1 in the transmission control module (TCM) has started.

Possible source
- The signal cable is short-circuited to ground.
- Solenoid not working.
- Internal fault in transmission control module (TCM).

- General warning lamp lit
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
- Harsh gear changing
- No gear changing.
