Gear selector lever boot




- Pry off the rear edge of the gear selector lever cover together with the boot until the two clips release. Use a plastic weatherstrip tool. Remove the gear selector lever cover and the boot
- Then pull the panel up until the four clips at the sides release.




- Lift the boot up over the gear selector lever to access the locking sleeve
- Press in the two catches on the locking sleeve. Pull the locking sleeve downwards.




- Grip the gear selector lever knob using both hands
- Pull the knob straight up with force.




- Pull apart the support ring on the gear selector lever slightly. Pull the support ring straight up. Remove the support ring.




- Remove the panel together with the boot.




- Remove the old boot from the panel by pressing in the catches in the corners
- Install the new boot in the panel. Press the control module firmly into place.




- Install the panel and gear selector lever boot around the gear selector lever.




- Reinstall the support ring on the gear selector lever
- Take the gear selector lever knob. Ensure that the support ring is straight in its groove in the gear selector lever
- Press the knob down over the support ring so that it locks.




- Pull up the panel with the boot towards the gear selector lever knob
- Pull the locking sleeve up to the gear selector lever knob. Turn the locking sleeve slightly so that the guide (1) inside the locking sleeve is correctly positioned on the notch (2) on the gear selector lever knob
- Pull the locking sleeve until it locks. Check that the locking sleeve is securely mounted on the gear selector lever knob. Pull the gear selector lever knob to check that it is securely mounted
- Lower the panel. Press the panel into place in the centre console.
