Remove:
- the perforated sections of the insulation panel (1) and the nuts (2) for the bumper in the rear cross member
- the antenna connector (3)
- the rubber seal (4) covering the hole over the antenna connector. Save the seal as it will be used to lead-in the cable harness for the sensors in the existing hole.

Slacken off:
- the four mountings (1) in the upper edge of the bumper cover on the left and right-hand sides
- the ten catches (2) from the upper edge of the bumper cover
- the eight catches (3) in the upper edge of the bumper cover

- Apply activator (P/N 8637076) around the holes. Allow to dry.

Note! Only apply activator to the inside of the bumper.

- Take the sensors and holders from the kit. Clean the sensors and holders using a cleaning pad. Allow to dry
- Apply a thin layer of activator over the sensors.

Note! Only brush the parts that are visible after installation.

- Install the holders for the sensors. The narrow side must be pointing upward. Install horizontally in line with the bumper casing, as illustrated.

Note! The tape adheres immediately.

Caution! Incorrect positioning of the sensors may result in partial or complete malfunction.

- Connect the cable harness connectors to the sensors.

Note! A click should be heard when connecting. The noise confirms that the catch has locked.

- Reinstall the foam rubber and plastic on the inside of the bumper cover
- Pull through the sensor cable and secure it in the in position along the plastic
- Press the sensor cable into the protruding guide (1) on the left-hand side of the bumper cover.

- Spray the sensor holders and the sensors. Use paint with the same colour code as the car. Use a Volvo recommended paint. Apply a maximum of two layers of paint.

Caution! Too many layers of paint may result in partial or complete malfunction.

- Lift the bumper into position
- Pull the cable harness for the sensors through the hole for the left guide of the bumper and pull in the cable from the inside
- If the mountings (1) have released from the rear edge of the wheel arch, reinstall them. Press the mountings fully into the grooves. Screw the screw in a few turns
- Reinstall the bumper by pressing it forwards. Ensure that the four screws that are protruding from the bumper align with the holes in the car
