Climate control module (CCM), replacing

Climate control module (CCM), replacing
Preparations
Note! Read off the programmed data from the climate control module (CCM) before it is replaced. This is carried out via VIDA vehicle communication.The parameters for the climate control module (CCM) must be programmed after the module is replaced.
Move the gear selector / gear selector lever as far back as possible.
Ignition off.
Remove the key. The key must be removed to ensure that the ignition is not switched on by mistake.
Warning! After the key has been removed wait three minutes before starting work.
Removing the climate control module (CCM)
Detach the panel at the gear selector lever as illustrated.
Turn the panel so that it is as far away from the center console as possible.
Remove the frame by pressing in the 4 catches. See the illustration.
Remove the 2 x lower screws from the bracket.
Angle out the entire infotainment control module (ICM) and the dashboard environment panel as illustrated.
Caution! Do not damage any surfaces.
Disconnect the connectors.
Turn the infotainment control module (ICM) and dashboard environment panel upside down.
Remove the 3 x screws on the top. See the illustration.
Remove the trim panel by releasing the 6 x catches. See the illustration. Pry the catches outwards to release them.
Remove:
the 4 x screws
the climate control module (CCM).
Installing the climate control module (CCM)
Install:
- Climate control module (CCM). The control module is secured using 4 x screws
- the front panel by pressing it so that the catches snap into place
- the 3 x screws
- the connectors.
Note! Check that there is no dirt in the optical connectors.
Note! The bend radius of the optic cables must not be less than 25mm
Angle in the infotainment/dashboard environment panel and its bracket.
Hint: Align the upper section and press it upwards so that the lower section can be worked in.
Front panel, replacing
Removing the front panel
Remove the climate control module (CCM). See: Removing the climate control module (CCM)
Release the hooks and pull off the front panel.
The front panel has double-sided adhesive tape. Ensure that any remains of the tape are removed from the black panel.
Installing the front panel
Remove the backing paper for the tape from the front panel.
Press the front panel into place.

Ordering software for the climate control module (CCM)
Order appropriate software.
Finishing
After replacing the climate control module (CCM), the following must be carried out:
- Reprogram the customer programmed data
- Identify the damper motor module (DMM) air distribution. See VIDA Vehicle communication.
- Test drive the car. Check that the engine and climate control system are functioning.
