Circuit board/top panel Geartronic assembly, replacing

Preparatory work
Removing components
Remove:
- the center console. See: Center console, replacing
- the gear selector knob. See: Gear selector knob, replacing.

Removal
Removing the complete top panel
Disconnect:





- the cable harness switch. Disconnect the connector
- the solenoid switch.





Carefully undo the snap fasteners. Lift the panel slightly.





Carefully undo the snap fasteners. Remove the top panel, complete with wiring and printed circuit board.

Installation
Installing the complete top panel





Check that the guard for the transmission side piece is correctly located.





Position the panel. Press the four snap fasteners into place in each corner. Install the connector. Connect the cable harness switch. Connect the solenoid switch.

Finishing
Installing components
Install:
- the gear selector knob. See: Gear selector knob, replacing
- the center console. See: Center console, replacing

Note: Calibration of the built-in position sensor in the gear selector assembly must be carried out when the unit has been replaced or disconnected.

When replacing the position sensor the new position sensor must be calibrated. Carry out calibration according to VIDA vehicle communication, Function group 4 Transmission, transmission control module (TCM).
