Convertible Top Position Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection

Calibration of position sensor

- Ignition on.
To prevent the roof sections colliding when operating the roof, the position sensors must be calibrated.

Warning! There is a great risk of entrapment damage when operating the roof. Do not allow anyone to be in the vicinity of the vehicle when the roof is in motion.

Carry out calibration according to the following remedies:
- Replacing the position sensor.
- Replacing complete roof.
- Replacing Convertible Roof Module (CRM).
- Reloading software in the control module

Conditions for calibration of the roof in the closed position.
- Hall sensor 6 must indicate active.
- No active roof movement.
- Power supply mode (power mode) 0-7.
- The battery voltage must be 9-16 V.

Condition for calibration of roof in open position.
- Hall sensor 19 must indicate active, i.e. the hydraulic catches must be engaged.
- No active roof movement.
- Power supply mode (power mode) 0-7.
- The battery voltage must be 9-16 V.

Calibration of the angle sensors occurs in three stages:
- Calibration in the closed position.
- Opening the roof.
- Calibration in the open position.
Initialize the position sensors by clicking the VCT2000 symbol.

Note! If the hardtop's movement stops for any reason during automatic opening, the sequence must be restarted. Before the sequence for calibration is restarted, the control module must also be restarted. Restart the Convertible Roof Module (CRM) Reset Procedure
