DESCRIPTION:
When driving through certain automatic car washes the customer may experience water leakage.
PRODUCT MODIFICATION: A new front roof and middle roof sealing has been introduced into production from chassis number 542-0077817.
SERVICE
1. Determine/identify the area of water leakage according to the matrix in attached document T9104EN05.
2. If complaint for water leakage found in areas B and C, water test the vehicle and verify leakage area.
- Water test method: VIDA/ Cleaning, Inspection and Adjustment/ 8 Body and interior/84 Exterior trim, glass weatherstrips/ 844 Glass for side doors and window/Water Leak Check
- Inspect the glass position: VIDA/ Cleaning, Inspection and Adjustment/ 8 Body and interior/ 84 Exterior trim, glass, weatherstrips/ 844 Glass for side doors and window/Glass Adjustment, Check
- Compare quoted values with measured values. Adjust if necessary: VIDA/ Cleaning, Inspection and Adjustment/ 8 Body and interior/ 84 Exterior trim, glass, weatherstrips/ 844 Glass for side doors and window/ Glass Adjustment
- Verify the adjustment with water test, if still NOK:
for chassis number 0000322-0018375 replace the sealing retainer centre, valid for area C.
for chassis number 0000322-0040894 add plastic support, valid for area C.
for chassis number 0000322-0077816 replace the middle roof seal in area C.
for chassis number 0077816-0093597 replace the middle roof seal in area B.
- If still NOK, check the status of the rear quarter glass seal. See attachment TJ rear quarter window glass. If it looks like NOK, replace the rear quarter window glass, valid for area B.
3. If found in other areas follow index matrix and repair instruction.
4. Verify repair.

TJ 13000 Water mgmt Design & Function
The water management system is designed to prevent water entrance. If the primary lip and the joints are not able to stop the water to go over the glass, the secondary lip should drain the remaining water in a controlled way by the water management system.
