AFFECTED VEHICLES:

DESCRIPTION:
In some cases a customer may report a knocking noise from the front of the
RHT, or top of the windshield area, particularly when driving on / over rough road surfaces or bumps.





MATERIAL:

SERVICE:
If a knocking noise is confirmed as being caused by the front roof lock braces, see the instructions on the following pages to correct.

Preparation






Open the roof to service position.

Some vehicles may already have e-circlips installed. If less than 5 continue with these instructions to add additional until 5 are installed
on both the left and right roller / lock brace.





Compress the spring plates to create room for the e-circlips..





Install a total of 5 E-circlips, (P/N 951668) on
both the left and right roller / lock brace;
- 2 at the front edge
- 3 at the rear edge.
As shown here.





Grease the roller in the lock brace.

Important!
The entire roller must be covered
with a thin layer of grease.

Test drive the vehicle to ensure that no noise is
heard from the front lock braces.
