Front Door: Service and Repair






Front door

Removal





Remove:
- the 4 screws of the speaker
- the lift mechanism. See Lift mechanism, front door Service and Repair Lift mechanism, front door Service and Repair
- the door mirror. See Rear view mirror external Rear View Mirror External Rear view mirror external Rear View Mirror External
- the external handle as described in Handle outer door front Service and Repair (for cars with keyless entry system) or Handle outer door front Service and Repair (for cars without keyless entry system)
- the lock mechanism. See Door latch, front door Service and Repair
- the cable harness as illustrated
- the 2 nuts and 1 screw of the door stop
- the wind noise strip in the front edge of the door.

Installation

Note! For tightening torques, see Specifications. [1][2]Body and Frame.

Install:
- the wind noise strip in the front edge of the door
- the door of the car. Use the color marking of the old door for rough adjustment
- the cable harness
- the two nuts and one screw of the door stop
- the door mirrors described in Rear view mirror external Rear View Mirror External Rear view mirror external Rear View Mirror External
- the external handles described in Handle outer door front Service and Repair (keyless entry system) Handle outer door front Service and Repair
- the lock mechanisms described in Door latch, front door Service and Repair
- the lift mechanism as described in Lift mechanism, front door Service and Repair Lift mechanism, front door Service and Repair
- the speaker (4 screws)
