Power Supply, Subwoofer Module (SUB)

Checking The Supply Voltage/Ground Terminal Subwoofer Module (SUB)

Power supply, subwoofer module (SUB)
Power input 1 (#45 (#A1)) is supplied with voltage via a fuse from the battery. The subwoofer module (SUB) will not be activated if there is an open-circuit.

Checking the power supply
Check the power supply cable between the battery to Subwoofer module (SUB) terminal #45 (A#1). Check for an open-circuit. Check for loose connections. Check for contact resistance and oxidation. Check the fuse. The voltage must be approximately battery voltage when the ignition is on.

Ground terminal, subwoofer module (SUB)
The subwoofer module (SUB) has a ground input. The ground input from the control module is connected via a ground lead to the ground terminal in the car body.
- Ground input 1 (#A46 (#A2)) is power ground and connected to the ground terminal in the body.

Checking the ground terminal
Check the ground cable between the Subwoofer module (SUB) terminal #46 (A#2) and the ground terminal. Check for an open-circuit. Check for loose connections. Check for contact resistance and oxidation. With the ignition on, the drop in voltage between the ground connection for the control module and the ground terminal must not be greater than 0.5 V.

Remedy as necessary.
