Checking the control
Hint: The diagnostic trouble code is set if the Steering wheel module (SWM) has detected a faulty signal when checking the intermittent windscreen wiper function. No further corrective action is required if the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is intermittent and does not recur.
- Ignition on.
- Read off the relevant switch and check the function.
Check that the switch does not stick in the activated position.
Check that the lever for the windscreen wipers is attached correctly
If not faults are discovered, try replacing the lever for the windscreen wipers. If the fault recurs, replace the control module.
Remedy as necessary.
