Checking the component and wiring
- Switch off the ignition. Wait 10 seconds
- Disconnect the connectors from the supplemental restraint system module (SRS).
Caution! Do not touch the terminal pins in the supplemental restraint system module (SRS). There is a risk of static discharge. This could damage the supplemental restraint system module (SRS).
Check the connector. Check for a short-circuit between the terminals:
- #A63 and #A64.
Check the cables between the control module and the seat belt buckle. Check for a short-circuit.
Remedy as necessary.

- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on
- Connect the battery negative lead. Wait 10 seconds.
