Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information SRS-0074

Condition
The Supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the roll-over bar cassette.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers a short-circuit in the ignition cable for the roll-over bar cassette to an adjacent ignition cable for longer than 2.5 seconds.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in key positions I, II and III.

Possible source
- Short-circuit in the ignition cable between the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) and the roll-over bar cassette to one of the other ignition cables connected to a collision protection component.

Hint: This fault can only occur if there is a short-circuit between at least two signal cables from different collision protection systems and/or ignition stages. Check which collision protection/ignition stage has this fault type.
