Condition




The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the phone module (PHM) registers an open-circuit in the signal from the handset (cradle switch) or that there is a short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on (not key position 3) and when the battery voltage is 9-16 V.

- Only hands-free operates.

- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the cable (cradle signal) between the handset and the phone module (PHM)
- Open-circuit in the cable (cradle signal) between the handset and the phone module (PHM).

Fault symptom[s]
- The handset does not function.
- Message in the text display (applies only to phone modules (PHM) with Volvo On Call).
