Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-532D
Condition
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) (Signal too high) is stored in the engine control module (ECM) if the central electronic module (CEM) detects that the checksum calculated by the engine control module (ECM) does not correspond to the checksum stored in the central electronic module (CEM). The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) (Signal missing) is stored in the engine control module (ECM) if the engine control module (ECM) registers a fault in the CAN communication between the central electronic module (CEM) and the engine control module (ECM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is diagnosed when the ignition is on.
Substitute value
None.
Possible source
Signal too high
- One or more diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are stored in the central electronic module (CEM).
Signal missing
- Open-circuit in the control area network (CAN) wiring
- Short-circuit between the control area network (CAN) wiring
- Internal fault in the engine control module (ECM)
- Internal fault in another control module in the same part of the control area network (CAN).
Fault symptom[s]
- None.
