Read out and note the adaptation value for the vehicle.
Note! Do not erase diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) as this also resets the adaptation values!
Test drive the car and perform a TRIP schedule.

Read off the fuel trim.
Check that the adaptation value has approached 1 compared with the noted value.
Check that the adaptation value is between 0.9 and 1.1.
