Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-214D
Condition
This diagnostic trouble code can only be stored during lambda regulation quick tests. This is a workshop test, for detecting air leaks or low fuel pressure. During the quick test, the Engine control module (ECM) receives information from the heated oxygen sensor about the fuel/air mixture with reset fuel adaptations. If the fuel/air mixture is outside certain parameters, this means that there is a fault that can cause diagnostic trouble codes related to lambda regulation to be stored during normal operation. I.e. diagnostic trouble codes ECM-21AC, ECM-21AD, ECM-21CC or ECM-21DD.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Fuel/air mixture (lambda) deviates abnormally from the expected (lambda=1).
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Activate quick test
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
