Checking the cable for an open-circuit
- Check the cable between the Convertible Roof Module (CRM) terminal #D1 (#A31) and the catch motor. Check for an open-circuit.
- Check the cable between the Convertible Roof Module (CRM) terminal #D12 (#A42) and the catch motor. Check for an open-circuit.
Remedy as necessary.

Checking the Hall sensor
Check the Hall sensor for wear and signs of malfunctioning.
In case of damage, replace hall sensor.
If no defect was found on the hall sensor, replace Convertible Roof Module (CRM).

Checking catches
Check surrounding components that can affect the locking function of the catches.
1. Open the boot lid using the mechanical key inside the passenger compartment.
2. Raise the boot lid slightly and lock the catches manually.
3. Lower the boot lid carefully.
4. Close the roof using the button in the passenger compartment.
5. If Driver information module (DIM) displays the message ROOF CLOSED, go to step 6, otherwise skip to step 7.
6. Check that there is no mechanical blockage. Luggage Compartment Lid Service and Repair
7. If no fault is found, try replacing the catch motor.
Remedy as necessary.
