Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CPM-5001

Condition




The heater is deactivated and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the combustion preheater module (CPM) registers that the temperature at the overheat protection thermostat or the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor exceeds the permitted value.
If the heater is reactivated, the heater will try to start again.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can only be diagnosed when the fuel pump is activated.

Substitute value
- None.

Possible source
- Damaged overheat protection thermostat
- Damaged engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor
- Damaged water pump
- Air or leakage in the cooling system
- Damaged heater.

Fault symptom[s]
- Poor heating in the passenger compartment
- The parking heater does not operate.
