Signal missing
Checking the power supply and ground terminal
- Ignition off.
Check that the wiper motor fuse in the engine compartment fusebox (F17) is intact. If the fuse is blown, check the subsequent circuit for a short-circuit to ground. Then replace the fuse.
Check the cable between the engine compartment fusebox and the wiper motor module (WMM). Check for an open-circuit.
Check the cable between wiper motor module (WMM) terminal #A2 and ground. Check for an open-circuit. Also check the ground terminal for oxidation.
Check the signal cable between central electronic module (CEM) terminal #G3 (#3) and wiper motor module (WMM) terminal #A1. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Remedy the cables as necessary.

If no fault is discovered on the cables for the control module, the wiper motor module (WMM) will probably need to be replaced.

- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Check the function of the wiper motor. Switch on the wiper function using the wiper control stalk.
The wipers must function at all speeds.
