Condition
Hint: The diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are included in a larger fault-tracing for the symptom Starter motor not running.
The steering column lock module (SCL) checks the operation of the steering column lock. The central electronic module (CEM) checks the power supply to the steering column lock module (SCL). The central electronic module (CEM) also transmits commands when the steering column lock is to be locked or unlocked. When communication starts, the central electronic module (CEM) receives information about the status of the steering column lock.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the central electronic module (CEM) receives information from the steering column lock module (SCL) that the steering column lock module (SCL) has registered an internal fault.
