Checking the wiring
- Ignition on.
Click on the symbol for VCT2000 to read out the voltage from the fuel level sensor.
For information on voltage levels for different fuel tanks, see component specification.
Check the power supply cable. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Take readings between:
- Central electronic module (CEM) terminal #F5 (#5) and right-hand fuel level sensor connector terminal #2
- Central electronic module (CEM) terminal #F7 (#7) and right-hand fuel level sensor connector terminal #4.
Remedy as necessary.

- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Read off the sensor signal by clicking the VCT2000 symbol.
Check that the value is between 0 and 5 volts.
Is the value OK?
