Signal Too High
Signal too high
Checking the status
- Ignition on.
Check the signal level from the clutch pedal sensor.
Click on the VCT2000 symbol to read off the signal level.
Slowly depress and release the clutch. Note a change in the signal level.
The voltage level in the clutch pedal sensor must be between 0.15 and 4.75 volts.
Hint: If the signal from the clutch pedal sensor indicates >4.75 volts, there is either an open-circuit in the cable or the clutch pedal sensor is defective.
Does the value change?
Yes - Verification
No - Checking the component and wiring

Checking the component and wiring
Check the signal cable between central electronic module (CEM) terminal #G21 (#21) and clutch pedal sensor connector terminal #3. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Check the signal cable between central electronic module (CEM) terminal #G23 (#23) and clutch pedal sensor connector terminal #2. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Check the signal cable between central electronic module (CEM) terminal #G12 (#12) and clutch pedal sensor connector terminal #1. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Try replacing the clutch pedal sensor if no fault is found in the wiring.
Remedy as necessary.
