Perform depressurizing fuel system Refer to: Fuel system pressure release, B5244S4 Fuel System Pressure Release

Drain cooling system, draining, filling, and bleeding Refer to: Cooling system - draining, charging and bleeding, B5244S4 Service and Repair

Remove the following items:
- battery
- air cleaner (ACL) housing Refer to: Air cleaner housing Service and Repair
- Tensioner accessory drive belt
- Bracket lower torque rod Refer to: Bracket lower torque rod, B5244S4 Bracket Lower Torque Rod
- Front subframe
- the catalytic converter Refer to: Catalytic converter Service and Repair
- Drive shaft right
- Driveshaft left
- right-hand side fog lamp front Refer to: Front fog lights Removal and Replacement Front fog lights Removal and Replacement
