Caution! Note the position of the components before removal.

Installation

Note! This step is only necessary if adjustment is required

Perform valve clearance Refer to: Valve clearance Adjustments Valve clearance, B5244S4 Adjustments

Note! Make sure that these components are installed to the noted removal position.

Use: Engine oil,

Caution! Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

Use: Gasket solution, 1161847

Use: Chemical gasket, 1161059

Caution! Take extra care when handling the components.

Torque: M7, 17 Nm

Torque: M6, 10 Nm

Install the following items:
- camshaft seal Refer to: Camshaft seal Service and Repair Camshaft seal, B5244S4 Service and Repair
- VVT unit Refer to: VVT unit, B5244S4 Service and Repair VVT unit Service and Repair
- timing belt Refer to: Timing belt, B5244S4 Replacing Timing Belt
