8. Checking Components



Checking Components







Check that the tank cap is properly fitted and that its seal is undamaged.

Visually check the hoses/connections of the leakage diagnosis unit, canister, EVAP valve and filler pipe for damage/improper installation.

HINT: A fault caused by a loosely fitted tank cap/hose connection or the like can be difficult to detect. If the engine control module (ECM) does not detect a leak via the quick test of the fuel tank system after performing the aforementioned check/measures, the fault may have been remedied.

Remedy as necessary.
