ECM-P217500 Electronic Throttle Unit Control System - Low Air Flow Registered

Condition







Engine control module (ECM) checks the difference in requested electronic throttle unit position from actual position.

If engine control module (ECM) registers that the difference has been sufficiently great during warming of the catalytic converter, to give effect on emissions, the diagnostic trouble code is generated.

The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the engine is running and warming of the catalytic converter.

- Contact resistance or oxidation in connections between electronic throttle unit and engine control module (ECM).
- Damaged electronic throttle unit.
