Preparatory work

Remove the rear wheels.

Removing the wheel spindle





Remove:
- the screw for the mounting in the tie rod (1)
- the screw for the mounting in the control arm (2)
- the nut for the mounting in the anti-roll bar link (3).
Counterhold using a Torx wrench so that the boot does not rotate.

Disconnecting the control arm




Slacken off the screw for the outer control arm mounting. Slacken off 3 turns.
Use tool 951 2923 Hydraulic hole cylinder 951 2923 Hydraulic Hole Cylinder together with:999 7031 Locating pin 999 7031 Locating Pin and999 7030 Mounting bracket bushing replace 999 7030 Mounting Bracket Bushing Replace together with999 7039 Connecting rod M16X360 999 7039 Connecting Rod M16X360.
Press off the wheel spindle.

Note! Only press until the bushing releases from the splined area.

Remove the screw.

Note! Mark up the position of the bushing before removing.

Install the hydraulic cylinder as illustrated.
Use999 7054 Adapter incl. 2x MC6C M6X12 999 7054 Adapter Incl. 2x MC6C M6X12 with999 7049 Sleeve 999 7049 Sleeve , connecting rod999 7037 Connecting rod M14X400 999 7037 Connecting Rod M14X400 and999 7132 Nut M12 999 7132 Nut M12 on the other side of the bushing.
Pull the bushing out

Installation

Installing the bushing





Note! Install the bushing according to the previous markings.

Hint: Lubricate the bushing. Use a soap solution so that the bushing slides through the spindle more easily.

Install the new bushing. Pull the bushing through the spindle as illustrated.
Use999 7054 Adapter incl. 2x MC6C M6X12 999 7054 Adapter Incl. 2x MC6C M6X12 with999 7038 Drift 999 7038 Drift , connecting rod999 7037 Connecting rod M14X400 999 7037 Connecting Rod M14X400 , nut999 7132 Nut M12 999 7132 Nut M12 , drift999 7098 Drift 999 7098 Drift on the other side of the bushing.

Installing the lower outer control arm mounting





Install:
- the M12 nut for the mounting in the anti-roll bar link (3). Counterhold using a Torx wrench so that the boot does not rotate
- the M12 screw for the mounting in the control arm (2)
- the M12 screw for the mounting in the tie rod (1).

Finishing

Install the rear wheels. See Installing wheels Service and Repair.
