Removal
Removing the muffler
Applies upon first replacement only:
Note! Suspend the front part of the exhaust pipe so that the catalytic converter is not loaded.
Cut the exhaust pipe between the front and rear muffler as described in Rear muffler, replacing Rear Muffler, Replacing.
Applies upon second (or higher) replacement:
Note! Suspend the front part of the exhaust pipe so that the catalytic converter is not loaded.
Remove:
- the clamp with nuts between the front and rear muffler
- the 2 nuts of the flange gasket
- the muffler.
Installation

Note! To ensure that there is no exhaust leakage, see Flanged joint, assembling Flanged Joint, Assembling.
Install:
- a new gasket
- the muffler
- the 2 nuts to the flange gasket M8
- the clamp with M10 nuts, 2
