Engine pad front, replacing

Special tools:
999 5716 Reading off tool 999 5716 Reading Off Tool
999 5460 Lifting hook 999 5460 Lifting Hook
999 7070 Mounting 999 7070 Mounting

Preparation
Only applies to diesel engines:
Remove the protective cover over the engine.

Removing the air intake





Remove:
- the 2 screws
- the air intake.

Installing lifting tools




Install lifting tool 999 5716 Reading off tool 999 5716 Reading Off Tool converted with kit 999 7070 Mounting 999 7070 Mounting. Install lifting hooks 999 5460 Lifting hook 999 5460 Lifting Hook.
Lift the engine to relieve the load on the engine pads.

Removing the lower engine pad screw




Raise the vehicle.
Remove the screw from the engine pad.

Removing the screw for the cable duct




Remove the screw for the cable duct.

Removing the bracket and engine pad




Only applies to diesel engines:
Remove the vacuum hose.
Applies to all models:

Remove:
- the nut (A)
- the 3 screws (B)
- the bracket
- the engine pad.

Tightening torque
For tightening torques, see Specifications, B6324S Tightening Torque.

Installing the bracket and engine pad





Install:
- the engine pad
- the screw for the engine pad mounting in the sub-frame. Do not tighten
- the bracket
- the 3 x M10 screws (B)
- the M10 nut (A).
Only applies to diesel engines:
Install the vacuum hose.

Removing lifting tools
Remove lifting tool 999 5716 Reading off tool 999 5716 Reading Off Tool , kit 999 7070 Mounting 999 7070 Mounting and lifting hooks 999 5460 Lifting hook 999 5460 Lifting Hook.

Installing the screw on the cable conduct
Install the M6 screw for the cable duct mounting in the engine pad bracket.

Installing the air intake

Install:
- the air intake
- the 2 M6 screws.

Finishing
Tighten the lower M10 screw for the engine pad.
