Upholstery seat cushion (third row), replacing

As the illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and / or models, some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Preparations
Move the seats on the second row as far forward as possible. Fold down the backrests half way.

Removing the seat cushion upholstery (third row)





Remove:
- the handle (release the catch)
- the outer panel (secured with one screw). Pull straight up.




- the center storage compartment (secured with two screws).




- 1 nut
- 1 screw
- the outer lock.




- 1 screw
- the 2 nuts
- the inner lock.




Pull out the seat cushion.




Detach the weatherstrips on the underneath of the seat cushion.

Hint: Use a small groove-cut chisel.




- the 2 sliders on each side
- the guide rail.




- the upholstery / cushion from the seat frame
- the upholstery from the cushion by releasing the 14 clips.

Installing the seat cushion upholstery (third row)

Note! For tightening torques, see Specifications [1][2]Body and Frame.

Install:
- the upholstery on the cushion using the 14 clips
- the cushion / upholstery on the seat frame.

Hint: Start with the small weatherstrips in the corners.

Install:
- the guide rail
- the slider
- the seat cushion on the seat frame
- the outer lock
- 1 M6 nut
- the 2 M6 screws. Tighten
- the inner lock
- 2 M6 nuts
- 1 M6 screw. Tighten
- the center storage compartment
- the 2 M5 screws. Tighten
- the outer bracket. Press into place
- 1 M6 screw. Tighten.
