Tow Sensor: Service and Repair

Tilt sensor alarm, replacing

Preparatory work




Ignition off.
Deactivate alarm.
Remove the left-hand cover in the cargo compartment.

Removal




Press the catches down on the underneath of the sensor so that it releases from the bracket for the integrated relay/fusebox.
Then lift the sensor (2) outwards and upwards so that the upper channels release from the bracket (3).
Disconnect the connector (1)

Installation
Connect the connector (1).
Hook the upper part of the sensor (2) onto the bracket (3).
Press the lower edge into place so that the catches engage.
Install the cover.
Check the function
