Signal Too High/Low
Signal too high / low
Checking the wiring
- Ignition off
- Disconnect the connectors for the front loudspeakers
- Disconnect the 16-pin connector for the audio module (AUD).
Hint: Certain systems may have two loudspeakers connected on the same signal cable, one treble loudspeaker/upper loudspeaker and one front loudspeaker. For further information, see the wiring diagram.
Check the cable terminals in the female and male sections of the connector. The cable terminals must not be damaged or pressed back.
Check the signal cable between audio module (AUD) terminal #B1 and loudspeaker terminal #2 in the front left door. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Check the signal cable between audio module (AUD) terminal #B9 and loudspeaker terminal #1 in the front left door. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Check the signal cable between audio module (AUD) terminal #B3 and loudspeaker terminal #2 in the front right door and the front right treble speaker. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Check the signal cable between audio module (AUD) terminal #B11 and loudspeaker terminal #1 in the front right door. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Remedy as necessary.
