Windshield Washer Reservoir: Service and Repair






Windshield washer fluid reservoir, replacing

Removal

Removing the bumper cover
Remove the casing for the front bumper. See: Casing, bumper front, replacing Front Bumper Casing, Replacing.




Remove the 3 screws from the bumper guide.

Location of components




1. Washer motor for windshield and headlamps
2. Level sensor.

Removing the fuel filler pipe




Remove the screw for the fuel filler pipe.
Pull up the fuel filler pipe.
Disconnect the 2 washer hoses at the washer motor.
Mark up the hoses.
Drain or plug the windshield washer reservoir.

Removing the windshield washer fluid reservoir




Disconnect the connectors.
Remove the 3 screws.
Carefully tension out the bumper guide. Lower the reservoir.

Installation

Installing the windshield washer fluid reservoir
Carefully tension out the bumper guide. Position the reservoir.
Install the 3 screws. Tighten. See: Tightening torque [1][2]Specifications
Align the air hose. Install the 2 washer hoses according to the markings.
Connect the connectors.

Installing the fuel filler pipe
Press the filler pipe into place.

Install:
- the screw for the fuel filler pipe
- the air baffle
- the screw.

Installing bumper casing
Install the casing for the front bumper. See: Casing, bumper front, replacing Front Bumper Casing, Replacing.

Finishing

Function test
Test the function.
