Top panel, replacing

Removal

Removing the gear selector knob
Remove the gear selector knob. See Gear selector knob, replacing, 4T65EV-GT, L.H.D Gear Selector Knob, Replacing

Removing the center console
Remove the center console. See Replacing the parking brake lever Replacing the Parking Brake Lever.

Removing the top panel and connectors from the gear selector assembly





Remove:
- the wiring from the clips
- the rear connectors from the gear selector assembly.
Press the front connector out of the gear selector assembly.
Separate the connectors.
Remove the top panel with the boot from the gear selector assembly.

Removing the boot from the top panel




Remove the boot from the top panel.
Press out the 4 catches using a screwdriver. At the same time press the top of the boot.

Note! The boot must be moved to the new top panel.

Installation

Installing the boot on the top panel
Install the boot on the new top panel.

Installing the top panel and connectors on the gear selector assembly




Install the top panel and boot on the gear selector assembly
Connect the connectors to the gear selector assembly switches.
Secure the rear connector in the gear selector assembly.
Angle the front connector into the gear selector assembly.
Secure the wiring in the clips.
