Gear selector lever assembly, replacing

Removal

Remove the gear selector knob

Remove the center console

Remove the gear selector assembly





Remove:
- the top panel with the boot and connectors. Work the cable loose
- the catch for the cable at the gear selector lever
- the cable from the end of the gear selector assembly
- the key lock cable. Pry out the yellow locking sleeve slightly. Lift the cable up from the gear selector assembly
- the 4 screws.

Transfer the solenoid with the connector




Disconnect the solenoid with the connector Transfer to the new gear selector assembly.

Installation

Install the gear selector assembly on the bodywork




Tighten to 25 Nm.

Install:
- the mechanical cable to the gear selector. Secure the cable with the catch
- the cable to the end of the gear selector assembly
- the key lock cable to the gear selector assembly.
Place the cable in the extracted locking sleeve the cable will be adjusted).

Initial setting of the key lock cable (adjusting)

Install the top panel and boot




Install the boot with the panel in the gear selector assembly.
Connect the connectors.

Install the center console

Install the gear selector knob
