Boot, gear selector, replacing

Removal

Remove the boot and the gear selector knob
See Gear selector knob, Geartronic, replacing, 4T65EV-GT Gear Selector Knob, Geartronic, Replacing.

Remove the panel with the gear selector boot




Hold the boot and lift it straight up so the panel releases.
Work the front edge of panel loose. Pull backward.

Replace the gear selector boot




Press out catches (4) from the top panel. Remove the boot.

Install the new boot
Press the catches for the boot into place in the top panel.

Reinstall the panel on the centre console




Press down the panel until it locks.

Install the gear selector knob and the boot
