Transmission input speed sensor, replacing

Preparations
Switch off the ignition.

Remove the air cleaner (ACL) housing

Remove the connector from the transmission
See Temperature sensor, transmission fluid, replacing Service and Repair

Separate the connector
See Temperature sensor, transmission fluid, replacing Service and Repair

Remove the socket for the cables




Remove the socket for the cables for the engine speed (RPM) sensor.
2- pin, pins 16 and 17.

Replace the sensor




Clean thoroughly around the sensor.

Remove the sensor

Install the new sensor
Apply a little Vaseline to the sensor O-ring. Tighten to 5.5 Nm.

Assemble the connector




Ensure that the rubber seal is in position.
Install the cable clamps around the cable harnesses and the rubber seal.

Connect the connector to the transmission

Install the air cleaner (ACL) housing

Checking diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
Check and erase any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
