Shock absorber bearing, front, replacing

Special tools:
999 5467 SOCKET 999 5467 Socket

Removing the shock absorber bearing




- Remove the spring strut. See Spring struts, front, replacing Spring Struts, Front, Replacing
- Secure the spring strut in a vise
- Remove the nut for the shock absorber bearing. Use socket 999 5467 SOCKET 999 5467 Socket and a 3/8" Torx-wrench as a counterhold
- Remove the shock absorber bearing.

Checking components
- Check that the spring strut components are undamaged. Replace if necessary.

Installing the shock absorber bearing

Install
- the shock absorber bearing in reverse order
- the spring strut. See Spring struts, front, replacing Spring Struts, Front, Replacing.
