Power Steering Motor: Service and Repair

Stepper motor, steering gear, replacing

Removing the electric motor on the speed related power steering control valve during replacement





Remove
- the steering gear. See Replacing the steering gear Replacing the Steering Gear
- the three screws holding the electric motor
- the electric motor.
Check the gasket between the electric motor and the control valve. Replace if necessary.

Installing the electric motor on the speed related power steering control valve during replacement





Install
- the new electric motor

Note! Ensure that the engine management corresponds to the control valve control.

- the three screws holding electric motor. Tighten to 3.5 Nm
