Active yaw control sensor, replacing

Removal

Right front seat




- Move the seat as far back as possible
- Detach the panels over the front screws for the seat rails (pull straight up)
- Remove the screws (2)
- Angle the seat backwards. Place a socket under the seat rail
- Fold the carpet away from the seat rail. Place a weight on the carpet so that the carpet is not in the way.

- Fold up floor carpet under the seat
- Remove the screws on the bracket
- Angle the bracket up out of the body and lift it up
- Disconnect the connector
- Replace the sensor assembly together with the bracket.

Installation

Installing the active yaw control sensor





Caution! It is important that the bracket is reinstalled correctly in the body. If the bracket for the sensor is incorrectly reinstalled there is a risk of malfunction.

Install:
- the connector for the sensor
- the bracket on the body. Tighten the screws. Tighten to 10 Nm.

Note! The screws must be correctly tightened to ensure reliability.

Installing the seat rail




- Fold the floor carpet back into place under the seat and the seat rail
- Install new screws for the seat rail in the body
- Tighten the screws. Tighten to 50 Nm.
Move the seat forward.

Caution! Calibrate the sensor using the diagnostic tool in VIDA.

Visual check




Turn on the ignition.
Wait five seconds and until the symbol on the dashboard has gone out.
In the event of a fault (the symbol is lit).
Check that the connector is connected to the new sensor.

Test driving
