Wheel sensors, rear, replacing

Removal

Preparations
Switch off the ignition.
Remove the side panels from the rear seat backrest.

Remove the seat cushion for the rear seat




Fold the cargo compartment carpet out of the way.

Remove the wheel

Remove the connectors for the wheel sensors




Remove the cover over the fuel pump (FP).
Separate the connector for the wheel sensor.
Install a piece of cable on the connector. Pull the cable from underneath between the tank and bodywork.
Disconnect the cable from the connector. Leave the cable in place.

Remove the wheel sensor





Note! Blow clean around the sensor using compressed air before removing.

Remove the mounting screws for the sensor. Pull out the sensor.
Disconnect the wiring from its brackets.
Remove all the sensor wiring.

Installation

Install the wheel sensor




Clean around the sensor seat so that when installed the sensor will be in the correct position against the pulse wheel. Use a soft brush.
Install the wheel sensor wiring. Tighten the screw. Tighten to 10 Nm.
Install the wiring in the mounting and the bracket.

Install the wheel sensor connector




Secure the new connector to the loose cable.
Pull up the sensor connector between the fuel tank and the bodywork (1) to the second connector.
Disconnect the cable from the connector.
Connect the sensor connector to the existing connector (2).
Reinstall the fuel pump (FP) cover.

Finishing work
Fold the cargo compartment carpet back into place.
Install the side backrest panel.
Install seat cushion for the rear seat.

Install the wheel
