Cigarette lighter / electrical socket, rear, replacing

Removal

Cigarette lighter and electrical socket




- Ignition off
- Remove the upper panel
- Remove the 2 screws for the lighter panel and remove it.




- Remove the rear ashtray by pressing it downwards
- Press the catches inwards. Remove the panel for the ashtray
- Disconnect the connector from the ashtray panel.
Note how the cable is routed.




- Disconnect the small connector
- Disconnect the telephone cable if necessary
- Tension the catch (see the illustration) using a small screwdriver. Press out the lighter sleeve so that the locking releases. Maintain the pressure so that the lighter sleeve does not jump back in.
- Tension the other catch. Press out the lighter sleeve.
